This Privacy Policy describes how CryptoWidget ("the App") handles information when you use the application on Android devices.
1. Data We Collect
CryptoWidget does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The App only:
Fetches publicly available cryptocurrency price data from the Binance public API.
Stores your watchlist, price alerts, and preferences locally on your device using a local database (Room) and DataStore. This data never leaves your device.
2. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Binance Public API – used to retrieve real-time cryptocurrency prices. No account or API key is required. See Binance Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob – used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Facebook Audience Network – used to display advertisements. Facebook may collect device data as described in Meta's Privacy Policy.
3. Permissions
The App requests only the following Android permissions:
INTERNET – to fetch live cryptocurrency price data.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS – to send price alert notifications (optional, user-controlled).
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – to restart background workers for widget updates after device reboot.
4. Data Retention
All data (watchlist, alerts, settings) is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
